The village required street lighting with low power consumption and automatic control. We found that the most difficult aspect was to ensure the necessary energy consumption level was met while complying with regulatory requirements for street lighting.
The village which hasn’t had street lighting since 1986 is now illuminated by sixty-five smart Jooby Avenue luminaries. The system does not need an operator. Lighting is controlled by the LORIX One base station. The electricity consumption level meets the requirements of the local authorities: a smart adjustment according to the astronomical calendar enabled the setting of the desired brightness and dimming schedule. Devices automatically turn on and off at sunrise and sunset.
We launched this project in twenty-one days. The average daily lighting consumption in Vovchkiv village is 6.6 kW/h.
All the village streets illuminated
Lighting automatically turns on and off
The balance was attained between the standard requirements and energy consumption
Power consumption reduced by 93%*
Jooby Avenue’s smart luminaires light streets, parks, roads, bridges, and thermal power plants in Ukraine, Switzerland, and Denmark. Radio modules for utility meters and the Jooby RDC Dashboard solution enable automation of water, gas, heat, and electricity consumption tracking with minimal infrastructure investments.
