Smart lighting
The city authorities sought to replace the high-pressure sodium lamps to significantly save electricity. Per Geneva standards, street lighting should provide a color temperature of 3000 K and CRI > 80. This is a comfortable value for the eye to perceive colors without distortion. There was a strict restriction on the illuminance of the facades of buildings to ensure that night lighting did not bother their inhabitants.
150 W sodium lamps have been replaced by 80 W Jooby Avenue LED luminaries. The combination of the right color temperature and CRI level mentioned above usually means low luminaire efficiency. But we have managed to make it as efficient as possible due to the modular design of the luminaries—we have installed two 40 W sections instead of one 80 W section. Light does not reach the facades due to asymmetric narrow-focus lenses. Smart capabilities of the luminaries have allowed the customer to try different power modes. The city authorities found a balance between energy consumption and illumination intensity.
Illumination has become even
Bright light no longer gets into houses
Motion sensors record the intensity of car traffic
Electricity consumption decreased by 76%
Over the last fifteen years, Jooby has completed many projects to provide consumers with smart radio modules and helped developers and resource suppliers adopt automatic remote data tracking.
