LoRaWAN radio module with sensors for Elster gas meter
This radio module with external antenna is designed for automated collection of Elster gas meter readings.
You install the device on the gas meter body and then set the frequency of data transmission. Installation only takes a few minutes and does not require the removal of the meter.
Once activated, the radio module will record meter readings and other events, such as attempts at magnetic tampering or disconnecting devices from the meter.
The device sends data to the server over a LoRaWAN wireless network and the provider gets access to it via their own software.
The model is equipped with a 0.5-meter long external antenna.

Install the radio module using the meter’s standard fixture. Then activate it by means of the installer’s mobile app. The entire process only takes a few minutes and does not require the removal of the meter.
The radio module is equipped with a magnetic field sensor that records each revolution of the meter dial. The sensor generates an impulse per one revolution and sends it to the data transmission module.
The collected data is transmitted to the server of the utility provider over a LoRaWAN network. This ensures that consumption data is always up to date and accessible on a real time basis. You can adjust the frequency of data collection: from once an hour to once a day.
For reliability, information is stored in the device’s own non-volatile memory: 2 months for hourly data reading and 1 year for daily data reading.
The built-in battery with a higher capacity provides autonomous operation from 5 to 15 years.
