LoRaWAN radio module with sensors for Metrix gas meter
This radio module with external antenna is designed for automated collection of Metrix gas meter readings.
You do not need to remove the meter to install the device and it only takes a few minutes to attach and activate the radio module. The device is ready to use as soon as it is activated.
The radio module’s magnet sensor takes the meter readings at a defined frequency and transmits them to the server over a LoRaWAN wireless network.
The device also records events such as magnetic tampering or unauthorized removal of the radio module and notifies the supplier. Thus, the radio module allows you to discover issues in a timely manner and prevent theft.

OPERATION PRINCIPLE
Installation of the device does not require the removal of the meter and only takes 5 minutes. The installer attaches the device using a standard fixture and then activates it using the mobile app.
The radio module uses a magnetic field sensor to receive consumption data. It records the revolutions of the counter dial, generates the impulses, and then sends them to the data transmission module.
Consumption data is transmitted over a LoRaWAN wireless network. The radio module sends this data to the server of the utility provider, allowing users to receive meter readings on a real-time basis. For convenience, you can choose the frequency of data transmission from once an hour to once a day.
To ensure reliable utility accounting, consumption data is stored in the radio module’s own non-volatile memory. The storage period is 2 months for hourly data transfer and 1 year for daily data transfer.
