Smart external connection sensor for W-Sensus C620 020 water meters

This inductive sensor is designed to transmit data from analog water meters to the pulse radio module Jooby OMNI RM LoRaWAN 4PU 204 EU.

The device is installed on the water meter’s enclosure and connected to the radio module. The sensor reads the number of revolutions of the water meter’s measuring hand and transmits the data to the pulse radio module.

OPERATION PRINCIPLE

When the sensor is installed on the meter’s enclosure and the radio module is activated, the data reading process starts.

Information is transmitted from the sensor to the radio module in the form of counted pulses. Their number corresponds to the number of revolutions of the water meter’s hand or a multiple of it.

The data is transmitted via a cable 1.5 meters long, using the PY07-6 connector.

Collected information is stored in the non-volatile memory of the radio module. It is then transmitted to the resource provider’s server via the LoRaWAN network at specified intervals.

The received information is processed by the metering system and converted into visible data. This enables the supplier to observe and analyze resource consumption in real time.
