Gateway for data collection in the LoRaWAN network
The Jooby Outdoor Gateway LoRaWAN series is made to collect and send data from radio modules to a server. The device receives data over the LoRaWAN wireless network, which the gateway then transfers to the server to be encoded and stored as reports in the software.
The industrial-grade components of the gateways offer dependable data protection, and a set of accessories and mounts ensures easy operation. Special technical solutions can be added to the configuration at the customer’s request.
The device can use up to 8 available LoRaWAN* channels for operation. This model is equipped with a backup 12-volt battery which provides 20 hours of battery life on a full charge under normal conditions.

HOW IT WORKS
In order for cellular networks to operate, they require base stations. These are positioned near a network of sensors. For example, the gateway could be positioned close to homes that have radio modules for power, gas, and water. Data is gathered by radio modules from meters and transmitted to the gateway over the LoRaWAN network, before being sent by the gateway to a server for analysis via LAN networks.
