Jooby smart devices

Jooby is a European manufacturer of smart devices for remote metering. Smart device types

Sensors use different technologies to record meter readings. For example, in water meters, they will capture the number of impeller revolutions, which is then used to calculate the number of consumed cubic meters of water.

Radio modules are sensor-equipped smart devices built into or connected to meters. Radio modules record various data: meter readings, water flow direction, violation of housing integrity etc. If the status of this data changes, the information is transmitted to the resource provider or utility company.

Smart meters are devices equipped with built-in radio modules that automatically transmit data.

Gateways are devices that receive data from radio modules and smart meters, then process and transmit it to the server via the LoRaWAN wireless network. Depending on the functionality, each gateway can receive data from a different number of end devices — usually gateways can be configured to receive data from dozens of devices.

Ultrasonic water meters (JOOBY JWM4-130P-LRIR / JWM6,3-150P-LRIR / JWM2,5-110P-LRIR) are cold and hot water meters that utilize ultrasonic technology to capture readings. Jooby water meters automatically transmit readings via the LoRaWAN network.

Universal Jooby devices for different meters

In addition to devices compatible with specific meter models, Jooby produces JOOBY OMNI RM 4PU 201 EU / 204 EU models that different resource meters from different brands can be connected to using sensors. These radio modules allow the connection of several meters, which ensures their heat, gas, water, and electricity meter compatibility (up to 4 different meters can be connected in total). 

Smart electricity meters

Jooby also offers smart electricity meters with integrated radio modules: JOOBY ELECTRA MTX1 and JOOBY ELECTRA MTX3. The meters automatically transmit readings, as well as having an alert on attempts to open the housing or affect their operation with a magnet. The meters’ functionality allows electricity providers to both remotely shut off electricity to non-payers, and restore service to them after they have made payment.
