About Ladyzhyn TPP
Ladyzhyn TPP is a thermal power plant in the town of Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine, owned by PJSC DTEK Zakhidenergo.
Since 28 July 2003, Ladyzhyn TPP has been on the list of particularly important electricity-generation facilities in Ukraine. In late 2013, the installed electrical capacity of the plant was 1800 MW, and the installed thermal capacity was 438 Gcal/h. Ladyzhyn TPP currently produces and supplies three types of electric power: thermal, solar, and hydroelectric.
Why Jooby Avenue?
A detailed analysis of energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, and payback period, carried out by the ENERGO TREND engineering company, helped us develop an optimal project for integrating a comprehensive solution using Jooby Avenue projectors.
It is important that the installation of LED lighting will provide the maximum level of illumination for power engineers following the sanitary requirements for an industrial facility and help save up to 85% of electricity when lighting the turbines of power units.
Jooby Avenue LED luminaires use state-of-the-art high-efficiency LED modules from leading global manufacturers, thereby ensuring maximum lumen efficiency. Also, due to the thoughtful design and resistance to temperature change, the luminaires have a long service life of seven years. Unlike mercury-filled lamps, they do not require special disposal, which allows saving on maintenance of electric lighting.
About the project
To illuminate the turbine house with an area of 15,000 sqm, we had to redesign the existing lighting system. After the modernisation of the electric lighting, each new LED luminaire will replace three old mercury-vapour lamps.
The complex replacement of cable and electric control room networks will allow the enterprise to save 1 million kW⋅h of energy, or UAH 2.5 million. It is worth noting that future CO₂ emissions will decrease by 900 tons. The modernisation of the electric lighting is already showing impressive savings—from 70 to 90%.
