Auchan Ukraine Hypermarket LLC
Groupe Auchan SA is a French retail chain that operates in seventeen countries. In 2008, Ukraine became the twelfth country, when the chain opened its first store there. Currently, twenty-one Auchan hypermarkets operate in Ukraine, including the store in Kyiv located at 1-В Hnata Khotkevycha Street.
For outdoor building illumination, high-pressure gas-discharge sodium arc lamps were used. The lighting system consumed 4 kW⋅h, and the lamps did not provide sufficient illumination. The lamps degraded, and by the end of their life their yellow-orange light had turned into an unnatural red.
HPS lamps are sensitive to voltage fluctuations in the network, which reduces their service life. Another drawback is a sharp decrease in efficiency at low air temperatures. When switched on, the lamps needed 7–10 minutes to warm up.
Why Jooby Avenue?
Jooby Avenue luminaires do not have any of the drawbacks listed. The use of high-quality components and control of every process from design to assembly ensure their uninterrupted functioning for seven years.
Jooby Avenue has a high luminous efficacy of 150 lm/W. The luminaires are resistant to rapid temperature changes. Unlike HPS lamps, these LED floodlights are environmentally friendly and do not contain sodium-mercury amalgam and xenon.
The Energo Trend engineering company reconstructed the existing lighting system, having carried out the lighting design, energy calculations, and dismantling.
The works were completed in a short time—only twenty-one days from the receipt of the application to the final delivery of the project.
After the luminaires had been replaced, the Auchan hypermarket lighting system now consumes only 1.2 kW⋅h, which is three times less than before reconstruction.
Jooby Avenue floodlights do not need special disposal, which helps save on their maintenance, and their long service life eliminates the need to regularly change them, as was the case with the HPS lamps.
