It affects hormone melatonin secretion and deceives our brain into thinking that it’s not a time to sleep. It can be especially harmful for children as their internal biological clock is only develoring. That’s why it is crucial to use the lighting of natural tones: warm or neutral white, for example.


Initially, LED light was really intense, as its luminous flux is much higher than in other lighting technologies. Fortunately, there are some ways to adjust LEDs for everyday use. First one is to combine the diodes of different colors, which is quite expensive. But the most favorable way is to cover the diode with phosphor of specific color to achieve warm or neutral white light. Combined with special materials, like polycarbonate, it will help to create soft diffused shine.
